Where a daily capsule actually fits
The hardest part of any supplement is not the formula. It is week
three, when the novelty has worn off and the bottle has drifted to the back of a
shelf. A once-daily capsule survives that week better than a twice-daily one,
and better again if it is tied to something that already happens.
Coffee works. So does the moment the kettle goes on, or brushing teeth, or
sitting down to the first email of the day. What matters is that the trigger is
something you do without deciding to. Artivorin is 30 capsules against a
one-a-day instruction, so the bottle is also a rough calendar: a third gone is
ten days in.
Water is the only requirement the label states. Plenty of people take it with
food out of preference, since several ingredients are fat soluble, but that is a
choice rather than an instruction.

Reading a supplement label without getting lost
Ingredients are printed heaviest first. That single convention tells
you more than most of the marketing around a bottle, because it means the order
on the label is the order by weight, top to bottom.
On this one, glucosamine sulfate leads at 1,500 mg and BioPerine black pepper
extract closes the published figures at 10 mg. The gap between those two numbers
is not a ranking of importance — a 10 mg ingredient is there for reasons
that have nothing to do with its size — but it does tell you where the
bulk of the capsule goes.
Two entries, omega-3 and the zinc and selenium pair, are printed with no
amount at all. That is worth noticing rather than worrying about: it is common
on supplement labels, and the honest response is to say so instead of inventing
a figure. Every listing on this site marks those two as not stated.
Timing
What the two to four week figure means
The manufacturer points at weeks two to four for the first changes,
and says more tends to appear between weeks six and eight. Those are their
numbers. They are worth treating as a rough shape rather than a schedule.
The useful thing about that shape is what it implies for the purchase. A
sixty day guarantee runs past the far end of the window, which means the
decision does not have to be made early. Two bottles is sixty days at one
capsule a day, so a two bottle package and the guarantee period end at more or
less the same moment.
It also argues against judging anything in the first fortnight. People who
stop at day ten have not tested the product against the claim being made about
it; they have tested it against a faster claim nobody made.
